Is a Fred Series Really Coming to Max in 2024?

Despite this excitement, there is no public development of a Fred series under Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns Max. However, a new Freddy Krueger project has been in development for some time. A reboot movie began development by New Line Cinema in the mid-2010s, with horror writer David Leslie Johnson attached to the project. The plan was to recast Freddy Krueger with a younger actor, following in the footsteps of Robert Englund and Jackie Earle Haley.
