The Lincoln Lawyer Season 3 left fans on edge with a jaw-dropping finale, but the wait for answers won’t be long—Season 4 has officially started filming in Los Angeles. Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) will be back in the driver’s seat for another high-stakes legal battle in the hit drama series based on Michael Connelly’s novels. This season, Constance Zimmer (UnREAL, Entourage) joins the cast in a 10-episode guest role, adding even more intrigue to the courtroom drama.

Following the shocking events of Season 3, Season 4 will take inspiration from The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series. The new season promises to resolve lingering mysteries while introducing new challenges. What will be the fallout from last season’s dramatic deaths? And now that the police have uncovered what’s inside the trunk of Mickey’s Lincoln, what fate awaits him?

According to co-executive producer and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey, this season presents the “biggest and most personal challenge Mickey has ever faced.” The storyline will revolve around Mickey’s own trial, where he must defend himself in court. “The biggest cliffhanger of all is ‘What is going to happen to Mickey?’ and that one certainly plays out across the whole season,” Humphrey shared. “In the first episode, you’ll understand at least the broad strokes of what specifically has happened and what charges—and adversaries—Mickey is facing.”

For the first time, Mickey finds himself in the defendant’s chair, putting his legal expertise to the ultimate test. “All the advice he’s given clients over the years, now he has to give himself—and he realizes how hollow some of it sounds when you’re the one it’s bouncing off of,” Humphrey explained. “Not only will he have to fight for his freedom, but he’ll also have to manage the impact on his family, loved ones, and business.” Thankfully, Mickey won’t be facing these battles alone—he’ll have the support of fan-favorite allies, as well as some unexpected figures who could either help or hinder his case.

Who’s Returning for Season 4?

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo reprises his role as Mickey Haller, alongside Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), and Angus Sampson (Cisco). Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson) is also set to return for every episode this season, ensuring plenty of courtroom fireworks.

One of the most exciting additions to the cast is Emmy nominee Constance Zimmer, who plays Dana Berg—a relentless prosecutor and former colleague of Maggie’s from the LA district attorney’s office. Known as “Death Row Dana,” Berg is a formidable and ruthless opponent, willing to bend the rules to secure a conviction. She’s exactly the kind of adversary Mickey doesn’t want to face in what may be the trial of his life. Humphrey expressed his excitement about Zimmer’s casting, revealing that their first courtroom scene together was “fantastic.”
